About The Position

CQC is currently seeking a Maintenance Intern for its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Watertown, WI. This role involves performing a wide variety of maintenance work to maintain equipment, building, and grounds in accordance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures. The work requires a general knowledge of various trades and systems, including mechanical systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC, with an emphasis on applying electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • General mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to speak and write in English.
  • Advanced knowledge of how to operate a PC.
  • Must have acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license.
  • Basic Technical Skills (Pneumatic, Electrical & Mechanical).
  • Interpersonal skills - acts in a dignified and professional manner to provide exceptional customer service at all levels within the organization.
  • Good decision making and problem solving skills.
  • Good technical aptitude.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Conceptual thinking.

Nice To Haves

  • Enrolled in or having completed maintenance-related degree is preferred.
  • Technical Skills (Preferred): Automation, Robotics, HVAC, Metalwork, and Hydraulic.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs manufacturing equipment and performs routine preventative maintenance functions as scheduled or directed.
  • Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
  • Works with other employees and contractors safely and efficiently.
  • Performs necessary duties to improve and maintain a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) system in regards to routine maintenance, MRO (maintenance, repairs, and operations), and information management.
  • Sets up and operates machine tools such as grinder & drill press to repair machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.
  • Completes and maintains all company-required performance and maintenance paperwork, records, and documents.
