About The Position

AUMOVIO is seeking a Maintenance Intern to join our team for Summer 2027 at our automotive manufacturing facility in New Braunfels, Texas. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while developing a broad understanding of Maintenance within Operations. This internship is a full-time, on-site opportunity designed to provide meaningful learning experiences and professional development. This internship position is scheduled to last 12 weeks in length from May 17, 2027-August 6, 2027.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or other related studies.
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States is required. AUMOVIO will not sponsor individuals for employment visas for this position now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior internship or work experience in Maintenance/Operations related field or automotive industry.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented environment.
  • Exposure to manufacturing, operations, or industrial environments.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in Maintenance, Engineering or Operations.
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting, or process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) research including assessing downtime, stronger maintenance processes, reduced costs, better decision-making, more efficient workflows, automated compliance monitoring and increased mobility.
  • Assist with analysis for spare parts inventory control requirements.
  • Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) working with AI to develop tools for predictive maintenance and help develop TPM program.
  • Work with real‑time data, sensors, and analytics to predict when equipment will fail.
  • Support with development of new business launch Advanced Driver Control Unit (ADCU). standardized work instructions to include Standard Operating Sheet (SOS).
  • Support with other operational duties and projects as assigned.
