About The Position

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This posting is for Maintenance Intern position at the Clarksville, AR Plant. This Internship will last for one year.

Requirements

  • Must be graduated or enrolled in an Industrial Maintenance program.
  • Must provide government identification number for verification of previous Tyson employment history.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc.
  • Must be willing to lift 70 lbs. periodically throughout the shift on a daily basis.
  • Must be willing to work on your feet for a period of 12 hours.
  • Must be willing to complete all required training for the job.
  • All applicants must be graduated or enrolled in an Industrial Maintenance program.
  • Experience and education must be listed on the application or on an attached resume.
  • Document specific areas of study as related to maintenance education.

  • C.A.T.S. program students are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and promote the Tyson Safety culture.
  • Receive Training and experience in Maintenance to start your career.
  • Perform various duties as required/assigned.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.
  • Keep machinery running to maintain continuous production.
  • Set up, adjust and break down production line machinery.
  • Learn about industrial maintenance in a fast-paced, high demand environment.
  • Work on equipment.
  • Learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system.
  • Communicate with other Team Members, producers, USDA personnel and drivers.
  • Make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc.
  • Lift 70 lbs. periodically throughout the shift on a daily basis.
  • Work on your feet for a period of 12 hours.
  • Complete all required training for the job.
  • Practice safety standards, policies, and procedures.
