About The Position

Performs routine repairs and maintenance to the building, requires a strong mechanical aptitude and associated building construction knowledge to perform most assigned tasks, and routine repairs.

Requirements

High School graduate or equivalent
Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to safely operate manual and power hand tools often in difficult locations and positions
3 years of maintenance/carpentry/painting experience
Current Washington State Driver’s license
Maintenance vocational/technical course work can substitute for up to one-year experience

Responsibilities

General knowledge and proficiency required for repair and maintenance of surfaces in the facility in a safe and efficient manner, including patching, priming, painting, wall cover, Formica, floor covering cove base and ceiling tile.
Operates, maintenance, repairs and cleans equipment and systems as necessary. This requires the ability to troubleshoot problems, access the equipment or system that needs repair, i.e., enter crawl spaces, enter ceiling spaces, enter air plenums, remove items such as plumbing, fixtures, motors, and pumps, some weighing in excess of 60 pounds.
Determines the proper course of action and implements repairs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
