This position is responsible for completing work orders, PM sheets, and logs according to established procedures. The role involves diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings and diagnostic tools, and performing preventive maintenance and repairs on various equipment including material handling equipment, forklifts, dock equipment, and facility equipment. The technician will also be responsible for grounds, building equipment, and PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) maintenance. The job requires the ability to work at heights, on ladders and aerial lifts, and in non-climate-controlled environments, both indoors and outdoors. Additionally, the role involves light construction work such as drywall, framing, and painting, as well as plumbing and fixture maintenance. The technician must be able to learn and utilize software like CMMS systems and graphical interfaces, adhere to all safety and operating procedures, and work closely with other technicians. The position requires standing, sitting, and walking for prolonged periods, continuous use of hands, twisting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50lbs.
