About The Position

Repair and maintain all production related machinery and physical Plant.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Fork lift certification
• Hands on experience in pneumatics, basic electricity and mechanical devices, usage of hand and power tools, measuring devices, welding, surface grinders, lathe
• Ability to read and understand assembly diagrams, electrical and pneumatic symbols and diagrams, and blueprints/schematics

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance according to established procedures
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on molding and lining department machinery and auxiliary support equipment (e.g. presses, lining/assembly machines, chillers, cooling towers, un-winders, spinning bowls, etc.)
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues on molding and lining department machinery and auxiliary support equipment (e.g. presses, lining/assembly machines, chillers, cooling towers, un-winders, spinning bowls, etc.)
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic issues on molding machines
• Contact outside resources to help with troubleshooting and obtain part numbers
• Notify supervisor of part numbers for low inventory stock or parts needed for repairs
• Perform mold and lining tool changes when necessary
• Adjust lining machine vision systems when necessary
• Performs and completes necessary documentation for daily, weekly, and monthly PMs, safety checks, and troubleshooting/repairs
• Follows and adheres to all safety rules and procedures such as lock out / tag out and arch flash
• Welds and/or Fabricates parts (e.g. guards, tooling components) for machines as needed
• Continually increases skills through education and training
• Familiarizes themselves with all equipment on the production floor including its purpose, use, and function
• Must be competent in operation of aerial lifts, motorized pallet jacks and forklifts
• Assist engineering on projects as needed and directed by supervisor
• Performs other duties that may be assigned
• Responsible for following all Food Safety and GMP related policies and procedures
• Responsible for following all Safety Rules, polices, procedures and work instructions
