About The Position

Apogee Architectural Metals is seeking a Maintenance I associate for the 2nd shift. This role involves performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing production equipment, and installing or relocating equipment. The position offers an opportunity to develop foundational skills in common mechanical systems under close supervision.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
0-10 years of experience in maintenance, including mechanic apprenticeship time
Ability to use and accurately read measuring devices.
Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools to maintain and repair equipment.
Ability to follow blueprints.
Ability to read and interpret Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
Ability to use a computer with basic proficiency (data entry).
Basic understanding of mechanical systems and maintenance methods.

Responsibilities

Always follow safety procedures, including lock out-tag out and confined space.
Perform routine maintenance tasks like cleaning, lubricating machinery, and replacing worn components.
Assist with the troubleshooting and repair of production and facilities systems.
Perform basic maintenance tasks such as plumbing, welding, light duty electrical and mechanical assembly.
Operation of light and medium duty industrial equipment.
Develop knowledge of equipment, procedures and mechanical systems.
Accurate documentation of work completed and related findings.
