About The Position

Spring Meadow Nursery Inc. is seeking a Maintenance I to join its maintenance team. Under close supervision, this entry-level role performs assigned duties involving the installation, modification, design, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems. The position uses basic hand and power tools and supports the safety, reliability, and effectiveness of equipment and production operations. Maintenance leadership directs and develops maintenance personnel to adapt to company needs. The role is hourly and full-time. Pay starts at $19.00 per hour, depending on experience. Employees are eligible for benefits subject to the new-hire waiting period.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficiency with basic hand and power tools.
Attention to detail and workplace organization.
Safety awareness and compliance, including proper PPE and protocols.
Self-motivated, with a drive to improve processes.
Team-oriented.

Nice To Haves

Driver's license strongly preferred.
Experience or interest in repairing small engines, pumps, and generators.

Responsibilities

Help ensure the safety of employees and equipment.
Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on equipment.
Maintain an inventory of equipment parts to reduce production downtime and promote overall equipment effectiveness.
Keep work areas clean.
Be on call every other month.
Assist with handling product weighing up to 50 pounds and lifting it to a height of 5 feet.
Perform other related duties as required.

Maintain performance at or above company standards, including meeting expectations in performance evaluations.
