About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing all equipment within the facility, including conveyor and hydraulic systems, bearings, gear boxes, motors, shredder, eddy current, and baler. The role requires MIG and stick welding skills, changing components like liners, grates, and hammers, and performing minor cleanup and other assigned duties. Safety is paramount, and candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to upholding safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards, as well as following company and OSHA safety regulations. This is a second shift position, working Monday through Friday from 4 PM to 1 AM, and may require flexible overtime, including working in outdoor and indoor environments in all weather conditions.

Requirements

• Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
• Flexible working overtime in an industrial environment which includes being outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work standing or walking for up to 10 hours per day.
• Demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
• Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures.

Nice To Haves

• 1-year previous maintenance/welding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair all equipment including but not limited to conveyor and hydraulic systems, bearings, gear boxes, motors, shredder, eddy current, baler, etc.
• MIG welding/stick welding using 7018
• Change liners, grates, hammers, etc.
• Work in outdoor and indoor environments.
• Minor cleanup and other duties as assigned
• Assist other maintenance and production personnel during scheduled repair projects
