About The Position

This role is for a Maintenance Associate, with responsibilities and requirements escalating through Levels 1, 2, and 3. The position involves performing basic to advanced building and equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation. Specific duties vary by level and may include electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, welding, machining, PLC programming, and project management. The role requires a high degree of mechanical aptitude, good communication skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and a positive attitude. The position is hourly and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED with relative vocational training preferred.
Must be able to demonstrate highly mechanical aptitude to execute essential functions.
Good communication skills with Floor Associates, vendors and Managers.
Must be able to read & write proficiently in English to understand manuals, directions, relative periodicals, etc. and communicate information in writing to associates, management and vendors.
Must be able to prioritize and effectively execute multiple projects.
Elementary judgment ability to execute essential functions.
Behave in a positive manner that enhances the success of the company.
Have and Maintain Valid Driver License.
Be able to lift 60 lbs.
Be able to work on feet for entire shift.

Responsibilities

Perform basic building and equipment repairs.
Perform basic rigging.
Move equipment.
Put spare parts away.
Understand basic electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic symbols and schematics.
Use basic hand tools.
Perform equipment preventive maintenance.
Drive a forklift (internal certification required).
Clean up oil and refill oil in machines.
Document all work using the work order system.
Use multi-meters.
Change heater bands, screws, and tips.
Change hydraulic valves.
Call suppliers for spare parts and prices.
Identify different types of voltages.
Perform basic welding.
Safely and properly use Oxygen and Acetylene torch.
Troubleshoot auxiliary equipment.
Troubleshoot production-related machines.
Read ladder diagrams.
Troubleshoot all types of sensors.
Run electric (all voltages).
Rebuild cylinders.
Process injection molding machines.
Program robots.
Order parts in Oracle.
Contact manufacturers of equipment for troubleshooting.
Perform basic machinist work (mill and lathe).
Participate in Kaizen Teams/activities.
Conduct ISO/TS/5S audits.
Write PLC programs.
Issue projects for the maintenance department.
Schedule outside work.
Provide phone support at all times when on call.
Conduct and hold fire and/or tornado drills.
Issue and track PMs.
Create reports as requested from management.
Track downtime.
Hold a spot on safety teams.
Perform Root Cause analysis.
Act as Kaizen Team Leader.
Perform Budget Tracking.
Use Microsoft Office to produce charts, graphs, and supporting documentation reports.
Fill in for the Maintenance Manager.
