About The Position

Installs, repairs, overhauls, and maintains heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. This is a journeyman-level position responsible for troubleshooting and repairing various equipment, installing and replacing pumps and refrigeration equipment, maintaining cooling towers and water treatment facilities, and performing planned maintenance on refrigeration equipment. The role also involves servicing kitchen equipment, overseeing smoke eater units and indoor air quality devices, investigating air quality complaints, and operating various types of equipment for transport and maintenance tasks.

Requirements

  • HS DIPLOMA
  • 3 years of resort or hotel maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of HVAC or refrigeration tools, materials, and test equipment.
  • Knowledge of repair, maintenance, and installation techniques.
  • Skill in reading and understanding schematics.
  • Skill in analyzing HVAC or refrigeration malfunctions from performance and test equipment readings and determining appropriate repairs.
  • Certification in all types of refrigeration (chlorofluorocarbon) recovery.
  • Must be 18+ years old.
  • Must be available for all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must pass a drug test and background check for an AZ Gaming License.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul equipment such as air handlers, air dryers, heat exchangers, other environmental changing devices, other mechanical equipment, or electrical, pneumatic, and electronic components.
  • Install and replace all types of pumps or refrigeration equipment according to prints, specifications, diagrams, or other instructions.
  • Read gauges and instruments and adjust mechanisms such as valves, controls, and pumps to control the level of fluid pressure and distribution in systems.
  • Test malfunctioning systems and components using electrical, mechanical, digital, and pneumatic controls.
  • Maintain cooling towers, water treatment facilities, and tower distribution systems.
  • Prepare estimates for repairs and installation of equipment.
  • Perform planned maintenance, regular service, and repairs to refrigeration equipment of all types, sizes, and temperature ranges.
  • Maintain records of repairs or equipment requiring future service.
  • Coordinate work schedules with other departments and shops to minimize inconvenience.
  • Provide technical directions.
  • Service, maintain, and repair all types of kitchen equipment including but not limited to grills, flattops, deep fryers, ovens, walk-in coolers and freezers, and ice machines.
  • Oversee maintenance, repairs, and filter change-outs on all smoke eater units and associated indoor air quality devices and equipment.
  • Investigate indoor air quality complaints relative to HVAC.
  • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, tractors, dollies, and other basic loading and unloading equipment as required.
  • Drive vehicles to transport materials such as furniture, supplies, or equipment as required.
