This role is based in Yosemite National Park and is responsible for validating, overseeing, and leading maintenance projects in historic buildings and landscapes. The manager will also oversee all maintenance and repair functions at The Ahwahnee hotel, a National Historic Landmark. The Historic Preservation Maintenance Manager (HPMM) evaluates detailed work parameters, including skills, time, material, and equipment required, as well as site conditions and accessibility for each historic preservation project. The manager develops preliminary schedules, cost estimates, and summary justifications for client (National Park Service) approval, ensuring compliance with on-demand processes and approval criteria. The HPMM coordinates the scheduling and implementation of historic preservation work with team members, including on-site General Maintenance Staff, Regional Facility Maintenance Managers, and Regional Hotel Operations Managers. Status reporting on labor utilization, completion milestones, and costs is required. Additionally, the HPMM supervises and manages all facility maintenance and engineering services at The Ahwahnee, a 121-room historic hotel. The role involves supervising and developing team members' skills in Historic Preservation and maintaining current knowledge to answer questions regarding historic preservation procedures, policies, and directives.
