This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while ensuring a safe work environment and adherence to Tyson policies and procedures. The Maintenance Generalist will provide troubleshooting and repair for any mechanical malfunctions, prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems, and respond to mechanical or electrical breakdowns, handling emergency situations. The position also includes performing preventive maintenance according to schedule and completing appropriate paperwork and reports. Compliance with safety programs such as lockout/tagout and confined space is mandatory. The role requires the ability to perform mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs, diagnose and repair equipment without supervision, and start up and shut down all equipment before and after production without supervision. Assistance to other mechanics may be required, along with performing other duties as assigned. The work environment can involve varying temperatures and humidity, dust, and requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, stoop, and lift up to 70lbs.
