About The Position

Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Provide troubleshooting and repair of any mechanical malfunction. Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems. Responds to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations. Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule. Complete appropriate paperwork and reports. Must comply with lockout/tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs. Must be able to perform mechanical and basic electrical trouble shooting and repairs. Able to perform diagnosis and repairs without supervision. Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision. Ability to assist with other mechanics as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Work in temperature that will vary with outside ambient temperatures and humidity. It can be dusty, warm, cold and/or humid.

Requirements

  • Must have less than 7 attendance points and have no written disciplinary actions in the last 12 months
  • This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only
  • Must be able to perform mechanical and basic electrical trouble shooting and repairs
  • Able to perform diagnosis and repairs without supervision
  • Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision
  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
