About The Position
This position is responsible for the troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment throughout the plant. Tyson Foods creates quality products in a safe environment for its team members and aims to make a meaningful impact. Benefits are effective on Day 1.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months of mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months).
Responsibilities
- Complete preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Install and maintain hydraulic equipment, pumps, motors, and cylinders.
- Install and maintain utility equipment including, but not limited to, boilers, compressors, HVAC systems, and cooling towers.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical or mechanical equipment.
- Change out and setup equipment.
- Complete prefabrication related tasks and run machine shop equipment.
- Perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
- Work on demand in emergency situations.
- Work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
- Complete all paperwork CMMS/SAP functions.
- Keep all work areas clean.
- Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
- Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
- Perform any other work as assigned by management.
