3rd Shift - Maintenance Generalist - Eufaula Hatchery
About The Position
This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The role involves responding to mechanical or electrical breakdowns, handling emergency situations, and performing preventive maintenance according to schedule. The job requires the ability to perform mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs, diagnose and repair equipment without supervision, and start up and shut down all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision. The position also involves completing appropriate paperwork and reports, and complying with safety programs such as lockout/tagout and confined space.
Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience or graduate of industrial maintenance training program or combination of experience and education to meet the 2 – year requirement.
- Must be able to perform mechanical and basic electrical trouble shooting and repairs.
- Able to perform diagnosis and repairs without supervision.
- Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision.
- Must comply with lockout/ tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
- Provide troubleshooting and repair of any mechanical malfunction.
- Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems.
- Responds to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations.
- Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule.
- Complete appropriate paperwork and reports.
- Must comply with lockout/ tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs.
- Must be able to perform mechanical and basic electrical trouble shooting and repairs.
- Able to perform diagnosis and repairs without supervision.
- Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision.
- Ability to assist with other mechanics as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
