About The Position
This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. You must be able set up, adjust and break down production line machinery. Must be willing to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system. Must be willing to read, write, and communicate effectively. Must be willing to use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc. Must be willing to complete all required training for the job.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months of industrial maintenance experience documented in the applicant's work experience, OR verifiable formal schooling in a relevant maintenance/refrigeration trade.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Willingness to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, kneel, squat, and reach.
- Willingness to lift 70 lbs. on a daily basis.
- Willingness to work on your feet for a period of 12 hours.
- Willingness to work in either cold, damp or hot, humid environments.
- Willingness to work in areas that may have slippery walking surfaces.
- Must complete the task after submitting an application to provide additional information to be considered for employment.
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

- Industrial maintenance experience is preferred, not required.
