About The Position

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

Minimum of 6 months of mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate and/or student of an industrial maintenance training program (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months).
Experience or certification should include knowledge in industrial hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, electronics, plumbing and welding.
Strong electronic skill set is a must.
Must be willing to lift 50 lbs. periodically throughout the shift on a daily basis.
Must be willing to work on your feet for a period of 12 hours.
Must reside in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge in the operation of PLC’s is a plus.

Responsibilities

Keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production.
Setting up, adjusting, and breaking down production line machinery.
Learning Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out daily documentation.
Communicating with other Team Members, producers, USDA personnel, and drivers.
Using math as needed to make work-related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc.
Completing all required training for the job.
Standing; using hands to finger, handle, or feel; reaching with hands and arms; and talking or hearing.
Walking; climbing or balancing; and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
Occasionally sitting.
Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 125 pounds (with assistance if needed).
Working long hours.
Climbing stairs and ladders.
Towing a water hose.
