About The Position

The Maintenance Generalist provides basic building repair and maintenance support, including general mechanical repairs, painting, electrical, plumbing, customer requests, and grounds maintenance, utilizing a computerized maintenance management system. This role also involves participation in hospital and departmental safety programs, education opportunities, and related training.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent required
1 Year Maintenance in commercial or industrial environment required.
DL - Driver’s License Upon Hire required.
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days required.
Proficient in the use of computerized systems for all aspects of job performance.
Ability to perform basic building maintenance functions to include painting and general repairs.
Working knowledge of basic hand/ power tool operation.
The ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issues.
Ability to communicate maintenance problems to hospital departments and departmental supervisors.
Ability to work in extreme temperatures.
Ability to work unsupervised and in teams.
Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills.
Ability work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Nice To Haves

1 Year in a Healthcare environment preferred.
