About The Position

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing machinery and other equipment and company assets, performing preventative maintenance, and keeping machinery running while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The position identifies the parts, supplies, and services needed to maintain equipment in the assigned area and completes work orders on time to reduce downtime and meet production goals.

The role requires physical activity throughout the shift, including lifting, reaching, rotating, walking, climbing, bending, and squatting. The work environment may be cold, hot, wet, dusty, and noisy. The successful candidate must be able to perform the physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

• At least 3 months of mechanical experience, or enrollment in or completion of an automotive/mechanical degree or training.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools, including drills, grinders, a drill press, band saws, and a multimeter.
• Willingness and ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Applicants must provide a government identification number so the system can verify previous Tyson employment history.
• Former Tyson team members must have been separated from the company for at least 180 calendar days; those terminated for gross misconduct are not eligible for rehire, and applicants who have worked at Tyson three or more times are not eligible for rehire.
