About The Position

The Maintenance Generalist is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson policies and procedures. The role helps keep equipment in good working condition and supports production by addressing equipment problems during the shift. This position is for current team members working at the Green Forest facility or complex.

Requirements

• At least one year of documented mechanical work experience, which may be combined across employers, or graduation from an industrial maintenance training program.
• Basic math skills, including percentages, fractions, and measurements.
• Ability to obtain Lock Out Tag Out certification.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 20 pounds repeatedly during the shift and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to stand on a hard surface for up to 12 hours per day.
• Ability to perform repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, and gripping, as well as frequent overhead work.
• Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Resume is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment.
• Minimize downtime caused by equipment failure.
• Support production by addressing equipment problems during the shift.
• Handle mechanical problems that arise.
• Keep the work area clean.
• Maintain records and demonstrate attention to detail.
