About The Position

This role is for a Maintenance Generalist at Tyson Foods, responsible for performing preventative maintenance, rebuilding equipment, and facility repairs. The trainee will learn to use a computerized maintenance management system and work in a fast-paced environment. Trainees may be subject to shift or department rotation and must adhere to all safety regulations. Requirements

  • 3 Months mechanical experience or enrolled or completed an automotive/mechanical degree or training.
  • Ability to learn troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to use the computerized maintenance program.
  • Ability to move through the Maintenance Skills Training Program passing all required levels in the allotted time frame.
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in Industrial maintenance.
  • Prior experience in electrical.
  • Knowledge within hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Welding and fabrication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
  • Rebuild equipment as determined necessary by supervisor.
  • Perform facility repairs within the area.
  • Make machine adjustments during production periods.
  • Repair equipment in the event of mechanical failure.
  • Learn the use of the computerized maintenance management system.
  • Communicate with proper personnel.
  • Abide by all safety regulations.
