About The Position

General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. This role requires setting up, adjusting, and breaking down production line machinery. The successful candidate will learn Tyson SAP software to create work orders and complete daily documentation. Communication skills are essential for reporting equipment status to management and team members. This position requires availability for overtime and weekends as needed.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of industrial maintenance experience within the last 12 months or verifiable schooling in a relevant industrial maintenance trade in lieu of experience documented in the work history of the application (can be a combination of employers).
  • Ability to work with others to adhere to Tyson's safety culture.
  • Must be available to work overtime and weekends if required.
  • Must be willing to complete all required training for the job.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with Upper Management and team members via phone, in person, and in writing regarding the status of equipment repairs.
  • Must be able to use Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, Ladders, Fall Protection, and Lock Out Tag Out.
  • Must be willing and able to lift 70 lbs. with assistance on a daily basis.
  • Must be able to work on your feet for 12 hours.
  • Must be able to read and write where required.
  • Must be able to use math as needed to make work-related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc.
  • Must be willing to set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery.
  • Must be willing to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system.
