About The Position

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing machinery to keep equipment running. It includes performing preventative maintenance on all equipment and company assets while ensuring a safe work environment and adherence to Tyson policies and procedures. The role requires identifying all parts, supplies, and services needed to maintain equipment in the assigned area and completing work orders in a timely manner to reduce downtime and meet production goals. This position involves significant physical activity including lifting, reaching, rotating, walking, climbing, bending, and squatting throughout the shift. The work environment can be cold, hot, wet, dusty, and noisy. Proficiency with basic hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, drill press, band saws, and multi-meters is necessary.

Requirements

  • 3 months mechanical experience or enrolled or completed an automotive/mechanical degree or training.
  • Ability to identify all parts, supplies, and services required to maintain equipment.
  • Ability to complete work orders in a timely manner meeting or exceeding pre-established deadlines.
  • Ability to lift, reach, rotate, walk, climb, bend, and squat throughout the shift.
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools to include drills, grinders, drill press, band saws, multi-meter, and other tools.
  • Must provide government identification number for verification of previous Tyson employment history.
  • Tyson Team Members must be separated from the company for a minimum of 180 calendar days.
  • No rehire for former Tyson Team Members that were termed for gross misconduct.
  • Not eligible for rehire if you have worked at Tyson 3 times or more.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
