This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The role involves monitoring equipment during production, making necessary repairs or adjustments, and documenting corrections. Preventive maintenance is performed on weekends, and equipment rebuilding and installation assistance are also part of the duties. The Maintenance Generalist will assist with maintenance throughout the entire facility, including greasing, oil changes, and cleaning of plant equipment. They will monitor equipment and computer boards, troubleshoot mechanical problems using schematics and blueprints, and may be required to work other shifts. Adherence to safety rules like Lockout/Tagout and compliance with OSHA standards are mandatory. This role requires close collaboration with other maintenance personnel, the ability to work with fragile devices requiring precise attention, and performing other duties as requested by the supervisor.
