About The Position

The Maintenance Generalist will be responsible for performing maintenance duties using hand tools and ensuring good housekeeping in service areas. This role requires the ability to work in various environmental conditions, including hot, dry, dusty, wet, and cold environments, with heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather. The position also involves working in elevated areas and adhering to all safety procedures, including company biosecurity guidelines. Communication with all levels of Operations and adherence to Tyson Health and Safety protocols are essential. The role requires the ability to lift up to 60 lbs, or up to 100 lbs with assistance, and to sustain physical activity throughout the day, including standing, sitting, walking, and climbing ladders/stairs. The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Prior workers must be separated from the company for a minimum of 180 calendar days and have not worked for Tyson 3 or more times to be eligible for rehire. Certain roles require background checks.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of industrial maintenance work experience documented in the work history section of the application.
Ability to lift and use hand tools.
Ability to perform maintenance duties using hand tools.
Able to work in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments.
Heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather.
Ability to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand scheduling.
Ability to work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures.
Able to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity Guidelines including an agreement to avoid any avian species.
Maintain good housekeeping including service areas.
Communicate to all levels of Operations.
Follow and Operate within all Tyson Health and Safety protocols.
Able to Lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs with assistance.
Stand, Sit, Walk, Climb Ladder/Stairs with the ability to sustain physical activity throughout the day.
Complete all other tasks assigned by management.
