About The Position

This position is for a Feed Batching Skilled FM02 role on the 3rd shift, which is full-time. The role is located at the Center Feed Mill in Texas. The position pays $19.65 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential. There is no bonus associated with this position. The typical schedule is Sunday through Thursday, from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Weekends and holidays are expected depending on company needs. The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

Six (6) months of feed mill experience preferred.
High school degree or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 months continuous experience in an Industrial/Manufacturing/Construction/Landscaping/Ranching/Farming environment.
Must have the ability to certify and maintain PIT Certification.
Must have the ability to certify as a Weigh Master.
Must have the ability to achieve and maintain respirator certification where applicable (ability be clean shaven).
Valid Class D License where applicable.
All applicants must complete the final task that is separate from the application.
Former Tyson Team Members must be separated from the company for a minimum of 180 calendar days.
Applicants who have worked at Tyson 3 times or more are not eligible for rehire.
Applicants that complete an application and do not meet the rehire criteria will be removed from the application process.

Responsibilities

Accurately record data.
Accurately calculate the amount of feed that can be produced.
Accurately read a tape measure for end-of-shift inventory.
Open heavy doors and clean out mills.
Push/pull pallet jack with bulk/1-ton bags of ingredients and hang them.
Perform minor maintenance duties using hand tools.
Work in hot, dry, dusty, wet, and cold environments with heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather.
Work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand scheduling.
Work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures.
Abide by Company Biosecurity Guildelines, including an agreement to avoid any avian species.
Maintain good housekeeping, including service areas.
Communicate with dispatch to ensure the feed they need is being produced.
Follow and operate within all Tyson Health and Safety protocols.
Lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs with assistance.
Stand, sit, walk, climb ladders/stairs with the ability to sustain physical activity throughout the day.
Complete all other tasks assigned by management.
