About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by insuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position is also responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Must have very good communication skills and be able to lead a group of team members and or contractors to accomplish preventative maintenance, equipment repairs and rebuilds, also needs to be able to communicate with production managers and team members in order to meet the daily production and productivity needs. Maintenance technician leads must be prepared to work in fast pace environments. Primary tasks include performing preventive maintenance on assigned equipment, rebuilding equipment as determined necessary by supervisor, facility repairs within area, machine adjustments during production periods and repairing equipment as necessary in the event of mechanical failure. Maintenance technician leads will also be required to use computerized maintenance management system.

Requirements

  • 3 months mechanical experience or enrolled or completed an automotive/mechanical degree or training
  • Must provide their government identification number
  • Tyson Team Members must be separated from the company for a minimum of 180 calendar days
  • No rehire for former Tyson Team Members that were termed for gross misconduct
  • Applicants that have worked at Tyson 3 times or more are not eligible for rehire
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
