Maintenance Generalist Lead - 1st Shift - Carthage, MS
About The Position
This position is responsible for maintaining all machines throughout the plant. Each technician is assigned to a work area and is responsible for their individual work area only. The work descriptions include Carruthers, DSI, lug wash, blades, wings/CVP, MDM, cone lines, marel sizers, floater, IQF, back dock, kill room/picking, evis, offal, cut-up, floater, battery/pallet jack and boiler room. This position requires the team member to move around their work area to locations that are in need of their assistance. This position must also conduct preventative maintenance and conduct safety checks throughout their area. The Lead position is responsible for directing the maintenance team members and assisting the maintenance supervisor.
Requirements
- Must have 1 year of maintenance experience within the immediate past 2 years.
- Prior Employee Waiting Period: If you were previously employed at Tyson, there’s a 365-day waiting period before you can reapply.
- Number of Times Worked at Tyson: You can apply if you’ve worked at Tyson no more than three times.
- Failed Drug Screen - if you had a failed drug screen, you must wait 6 months before reapplying.
- Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
