Maintenance General A - 2nd Shift (3:15pm - 11:45pm)
About The Position
This position is responsible for performing assigned work to rig, move, and install machines and equipment. This includes preparing foundations, securing, leveling, and aligning machines properly. The role also involves assisting with large repair work, dismantling and reassembling machines, servicing overhead cranes and hoists, power trucks, and miscellaneous material handling equipment. Additionally, the position performs preventative maintenance functions such as oiling and lubricating machinery and equipment. The general work hours are 2nd shift (3:15pm - 11:45pm), with a $1.00 shift differential. Schedules may be adjusted to meet facility needs.
Requirements
- Vocational or high school graduate with courses in mechanical drawing, shop mathematics, and shop practices.
- Three to four years of experience required.
- Knowledge of fundamentals as applied in connection with maintenance and general repair.
Responsibilities
- Perform all assigned work to rig, move and install machines and equipment such as engine and turret lathes, small boring mills, milling machines, radial drills, grinders, punch presses, etc.
- Prepare foundations, secure, level and align machines properly.
- Assist on large and more involved repair work and dismantle and reassemble machines undergoing repair or overhaul.
- Service and maintain overhead cranes and hoists, power trucks and miscellaneous material handling equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance functions such as oiling and lubricating of machinery and equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
