About The Position

DirectHire Position Summary The Facilities Manager is responsible for maintaining the safety, security, and overall operation of the company's buildings, grounds, and equipment. This role oversees maintenance and custodial staff, manages preventative maintenance programs, coordinates vendors, and ensures a safe, efficient work environment for all employees.

Requirements

Experience managing industrial or commercial facilities.
Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, roofing, and general building maintenance.
Experience with industrial safety, OSHA regulations, and preventative maintenance.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
Supervisory experience with maintenance teams.
Forklift/PIT experience; trainer certification preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, email, and smartphones.
Class E Driver's License required.

Nice To Haves

Technical certificate or associate degree in Industrial Technology, HVAC, Building Systems, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily facility operations and maintenance.
Identify and address building maintenance issues, repairs, and safety concerns.
Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules for buildings, HVAC, air compressors, vehicles, forklifts, and facility equipment.
Supervise maintenance and custodial staff and coordinate outside contractors.
Manage facility budgets, maintenance planning, and capital improvement projects.
Maintain company vehicles, forklifts, and powered industrial trucks.
Coordinate facility supply inventory and purchasing.
Schedule company pickups, deliveries, and airport transportation as needed.
Oversee building security, key control, landscaping, parking lots, and grounds maintenance.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable safety regulations.
