About The Position

The Maintenance Facilities Technician will work with a team responsible for maintaining the physical building assets around campus. This position will handle the repair and maintenance of internal plumbing, basic HVAC, minor construction, and other associated tasks with maintaining a professional office and production buildings. This position will help to further improve our infrastructure by bringing sufficient knowledge of building maintenance and best practices to help ensure the longevity of our capital structures/investments.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years' experience with facilities-based maintenance activities
Experience with Planning Systems (CMMS)
Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong background in building maintenance and local regulatory compliance
Proven ability to plan and coordinate across multiple functional groups, align objectives, and keep deliverables on track.
Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.
Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
Ability to obtain and appropriate the proper usage of equipment and materials.
Ability to quickly prioritize among numerous pressing tasks and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written skills, as well as ability to make presentations.
Ability to effectively build relationships with co-workers and external customers.
Attention to establishing and achieving goals and objectives for self and team on a continuous basis.

Responsibilities

Promote a "safety first" culture within the Maintenance Team and all other departments.
Responsible for maintaining the physical facility assets such as building maintenance, plumbing, basic HVAC, perimeter fencing and gates, small engines, basic carpentry, and masonry tasks
Completes scheduled work generated from CMMS and planning staff
Communicate with outside vendors when needed and coordinate service visits
Maintain accurate and up to date maintenance work order records within CMMS
Build and maintain proper inventory levels for mobile equipment maintenance
Strive to achieve high service levels with customer base (production staff)
Ensure that working area is kept in a professional manner – shows pride in work
Highly professional inter/intradepartmental interactions are required
Work to remove roadblocks and show direct ownership of mobile maintenance program
Strive to improve working conditions, working area, and reliability of equipment
Track and report on improvement KPIs (key performance indicators) as assigned by Maintenance Management
Participate with internal audits and continuous improvement
Work to elevate the performance of your co workers and those directly around you daily
Complete all other duties as assigned by management
