About The Position

BMI is seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Tech II to facilitate daily Architectural Repairs within the Nashville Building, provide labor for events & activities, and assist with Central Plant operations. This role involves installing, repairing, and patching drywall and partitions, preparing surfaces for painting, painting architectural surfaces, applying wall coverings, and patching/repairing flooring. The position also requires working in elevated spaces for ceiling repairs, collaborating with other Facility and General Services staff, and being available for after-hours and weekend work, including occasional on-call duties. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Prior A/V Event and Maintenance experience is preferred.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
• Must be detail oriented and thorough
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to work flexible hours when needed
• Pop-Up Audio Sound Systems, Laptops, Low Voltage wire racks, Ladders, & Misc small hand tools.
• None.

Nice To Haves

• Prior A/V Event and Maintenance experience is preferred.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, & patch drywall and other Architectural partitions.
• Finish, sand, & full prep horizontal and vertical surfaces for painting.
• Competently and thoroughly paint Architectural surfaces in an experienced and professional manner.
• Competently and thoroughly apply wall coverings to Architectural surfaces in an experienced and professional manner.
• Patch and repair flooring surfaces of varying materials.
• Work in elevated spaces for ceiling repairs and restorations.
• Work closely with other Facility and General Services staff to facilitate building maintenance and events needs including the Central Plant Operations.
• Often work after hours and weekends as needed.
• Capable of on-call after hours duties on occasion via BMI cell phone.
• Regular attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.
