About The Position

The maintenance performs resort maintenance activities relating to the organization's physical property as directed by department Team Leaders. This role is responsible for completing daily postings and balancing daily accounts, following job orders to determine tasks, and repairing, maintaining, and installing machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous operations. The position also involves maintaining utility systems, following a preventive maintenance program, and informing Team Leaders of any operational issues with machines and equipment. Additionally, the role requires performing general maintenance, mechanical, electrical, machine, equipment, and plumbing repairs and/or installations, implementing energy conservation programs, and maintaining an organized work area. The employee must adhere to all QBRC Personnel Policies and Procedures, Title 97 Policy, and HR Standard Operating Procedures. Job functions are subject to modification to reasonably accommodate management changes and requests.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) year maintenance experience, or twelve (12) months related experience and/or training or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Basic knowledge of general maintenance in electrical, carpentry, and HVAC.
  • Knowledge of mechanical operations of a large building complex.
  • Must be physically capable of moving about on QBRC property, sometimes in adverse conditions.
  • Ability to work on own and with others.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public, vendors, and team members.
  • Read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License and must be able to be insured through our company insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external customers.
  • Develop solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service.
  • Complete daily postings and balance daily accounts.
  • Follow job orders to determine tasks.
  • Repair, maintain, and install machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous operations.
  • Maintain utility systems to ensure continuous supply of heat, electrical power, gas, refrigeration, or air.
  • Follow preventive maintenance program in conjunction with all relevant departments.
  • Inform Team Leader regarding any problems with the operation of machines and equipment.
  • Approach all encounters with guests, vendors, and team members in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Complete and turn in all maintenance request forms from guests as needed.
  • Perform general maintenance, mechanical, electrical, machine, equipment, and plumbing repairs and/or installations as needed.
  • Implement energy conservation program as assigned by Team Leader.
  • Maintain a neat and organized work area at all times.
  • Effectively manage time and meet or exceed productivity standards.
  • Adhere to all QBRC Personnel Policies and Procedures, Title 97 Policy, and HR Standard Operating Procedures.
