About The Position

This role is responsible for managing telecommunications, heat, electricity, plumbing, and refurbishments, ensuring they are well-maintained. The position also ensures that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health, and security standards. Key duties include overseeing building projects, renovations, or refurbishments, and handling facility emergencies as they arise. The manager is responsible for maintaining equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards, inspecting buildings for necessary repairs or renovations, and reviewing utility consumption to minimize costs. This role involves supervising all facilities staff and external contractors, controlling activities such as parking, waste disposal, and building security, and handling service contracts for company leased and owned vehicles. Additionally, the position requires keeping financial and non-financial records.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance facility management

Responsibilities

  • Manage telecommunications, heat, electricity, plumbing etc. and refurbishments and ensure they are well maintained
  • Ensure facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards
  • Oversee building projects, renovations or refurbishments
  • Responsible for handling facility emergencies as they arise
  • Manage the maintenance of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
  • Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
  • Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs
  • Supervise all facilities staff and external contractors performing equipment & facilities maintenance
  • Control activities such as parking, waste disposal, building security etc.
  • Handle service contracts including company leased and owned vehicles
  • Keep financial and non-financial records
