Watlow is seeking a Maintenance Equipment Technician to provide skilled general maintenance for machines—keeping our manufacturing equipment running safely and efficiently. You’ll troubleshoot and repair complex machinery, perform detailed preventative maintenance, and fabricate and refurbish production equipment to keep our operations in world-class condition.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Two-year industrial maintenance degree or technical certificate, or one to three years of relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

  • High-voltage electrical knowledge.
  • Forklift or scissor lift experience.
  • Leadership training.
  • Hazardous chemical handling knowledge.
  • Familiarity with MES, SCADA, and data collection.

Responsibilities

  • Perform limited electrical troubleshooting, repair, and installation of motor controls, fuses, circuit breakers, and similar components.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and install complex machinery using air, hydraulics, motors, bearings, and related systems.
  • Fabricate production equipment, fixtures, support frames, benches, and shelving; welding and fabrication skills are preferred.
  • Schedule and perform detailed preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment, including SMT placement machines, wave solders, and selective solder systems, following manufacturer-recommended procedures.
  • Perform limited repair and installation of pipes and plumbing carrying gas, water, vacuum, air, or miscellaneous hydraulic oils.
  • Perform limited repair and installation of low-voltage electrical wiring in the facility, including computer and phone lines.
  • Refurbish production equipment through detailed cleaning, painting, replacing worn parts, and calibration to bring machines to like-new condition.
