About The Position

Operates equipment and machinery; Performs maintenance and labor as needed regarding street/stormwater operations. Performs various construction/roadwork duties, such as working with asphalt, dirt, concrete, or other activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 yr. experience as roadworker, equipment operator, concrete finisher, or similar position (Equivalent amount of education and/or experience is acceptable)
• Valid driver's license
• Valid CDL, Class B or higher (Required within 11 months of employment)

Responsibilities

• Performs concrete finishing operations
• Monitors/maintains City streets/alleys
• Smooths, levels, and finishes surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks, or curbs to specified textures
• Operates backhoes, mini excavators, front loaders and skid steers to perform street and stormwater operations
• Performs minor maintenance on heavy trucks
• Performs routine and preventative maintenance on streets, street signs, property, facilities, stormwater drainage ways
• Performs snow and water removal
