A Maintenance Engineer is expected to have an extensive background in a maintenance-related field, preferably within a hospitality or resort environment, and/or a minimum of five (5) years of construction experience. This position is responsible for performing monthly preventative maintenance on all resort mechanical equipment and systems. The Engineer will be required to complete a wide variety of general maintenance and repair tasks, including but not limited to drywall repair, painting, tile work, hard surface repairs, and other preventative maintenance duties as needed. They must be highly organized, able to multitask, and capable of prioritizing multiple work orders to ensure guests are served promptly and professionally. This role involves completing construction-based projects with minimal supervision. The incumbent is responsible for managing assigned projects from start to completion, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to timelines. The ability to work independently, with little to no assistance, is essential. Strong communication skills are required, as the Maintenance Engineer must effectively and professionally communicate with management and front desk staff on a regular basis to ensure maintenance issues are identified, addressed, and resolved in a timely manner.
