About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to join the Graduate by Hilton Tucson team. The role maintains the hotel’s grounds, public areas, and guest rooms, performs preventive maintenance, and responds to maintenance requests. The position calls for knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general carpentry, as well as effective communication, time management, and a focus on guest and team member expectations.

Requirements

At least three years of hotel maintenance experience is preferred (the posting states “three (2) years”).
In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general carpentry.
Basic math skills.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to exceed the expectations of guests and team members.
Excellent time management skills.
Able to stand and walk for prolonged periods, bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery; visually inspect machines; and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

One year of college or trade school equivalent in mechanical, electrical, and/or technical disciplines is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Oversee the property grounds, public areas, and hotel guest rooms.
Conduct preventive maintenance to help prevent breakdowns in hotel accommodations.
Paint, replace electrical accessories, and maintain HVAC systems.
Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation; maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs.
Respond to maintenance orders in a timely manner.
Fulfill work orders in a timely manner.
Complete daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems.
Perform other duties as assigned.
