About The Position

The Maintenance Engineer maintains hotel systems and facilities to provide a safe, comfortable environment for guests and team members. The role involves hands-on work with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and other systems, as well as preventive maintenance and repairs throughout guest rooms, common areas, and equipment. The position also performs minor carpentry, painting, and furniture repairs and responds to equipment problems and emergencies, including fire alarms and power outages, with guest safety as a priority. The job requires physical activity, including moving objects over 50 pounds and climbing ladders, and adherence to OSHA safety guidelines and safe handling and storage practices for tools, chemicals, and hazardous materials.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Ability to move objects over 50 pounds, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in hotel maintenance or a related field.
• Trade license in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections, repairs, and adjustments to hotel plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and other systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance in guest rooms, common spaces, and on equipment such as refrigerators and ice machines.
• Perform minor carpentry, painting, and furniture repairs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment problems, leaks, and electrical issues.
• Respond to emergencies such as fire alarms and power outages, prioritizing guest safety.
• Follow OSHA safety guidelines when using tools, handling chemicals, and operating machinery.
• Keep work areas clean and safe and store tools and hazardous materials properly.
