About The Position

The Maintenance Engineer operates, repairs, and maintains the physical plant as well as other hospital equipment/systems in a safe cost effective and industry accepted manner. Also, this position ensures a safe and reliable environment in which to provide medical services.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent
• Qualifying licensure upon hire, no contingencies
• Must have any ONE of the following at HIRE: Chief A, Chief B, 1st Class A, 1st Class B, 2nd Class A, 2nd Class B
• If above licensure(s) not present at hire: Chief C upon hire, 1st Class C upon hire, 2nd Class C upon hire, Special Engineers license
• Must obtain completion within 18 months of hire date: 2nd Class B license
• Must have a valid driver’s license in the state of employee residence and meet all criteria required under Lakeview’s Automobile Liability Guidelines
• Basic computer and email skills
• Good customer service skills
• Good troubleshooting skills
• Good mechanical aptitude skills
• Able to change or reprioritize in a fast-paced environment to meet our patients/building needs

Nice To Haves

• Technical school training in plant operations/building maintenance and/or HVAC
• 1-year experience in the operation of H.V.A.C., refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems, preferably in a health care setting
