About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking an energetic, experienced, hands-on Maintenance Engineer. The role supports hotel operations by maintaining the property grounds, public areas, guest rooms, and machinery. The associate conducts preventive maintenance, responds to and completes work orders, and identifies and reports problems during daily rounds. The position requires knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general carpentry, along with effective communication, time management, and the ability to serve guests and team members well. Requirements

In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general carpentry.
Basic math skills.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to exceed the expectations of guests and team members.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods, bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery; visually inspect machines; and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Hotel maintenance experience (the posting states a preferred minimum of three years, though the parenthetical numeral is inconsistent).
One year of college or trade school equivalent in mechanical, electrical, and/or technical disciplines; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Oversee property grounds, public areas, and hotel guest rooms.
Conduct preventive maintenance to help prevent breakdowns in hotel accommodations.
Paint, replace electrical accessories, and maintain HVAC systems.
Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation; maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs.
Respond to maintenance orders in a timely manner.
Fulfill work orders in a timely manner.
Complete daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems.
Perform other duties as assigned.
