About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Engineer to help maintain our hotel, restaurant, pool, and public spaces while supporting the operational and event needs of the property. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and contributing to a dynamic hospitality environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in hotel, resort, apartment, commercial building, or general facilities maintenance preferred
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general repair work
  • Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and identify practical solutions
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed
  • Valid driver's license preferred
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and lift throughout the workday
  • Ability to safely lift and move up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to move furniture, fixtures, equipment, and supplies throughout the property
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors for extended periods
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and temperatures, including the desert heat common in Palm Springs
  • Comfortable using ladders and working at heights when necessary

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance throughout the hotel, restaurant, and grounds
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, and general building systems
  • Respond to guest and team member maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Complete routine inspections to identify and address maintenance needs before they become larger issues
  • Maintain guest rooms, public spaces, pool areas, and back-of-house facilities to company standards
  • Assist with vendor coordination and property improvement projects as needed
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work orders
  • Set up, move, and arrange furniture, fixtures, equipment, décor, and other property assets in support of events, photoshoots, activations, and marketing initiatives
  • Assist with event setups and breakdowns across the property
  • Support property refreshes and seasonal changes to public spaces and guest areas
  • Ensure all equipment and materials are transported safely and stored properly
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in a safe and organized condition
  • Identify and report potential safety hazards
  • Support emergency response efforts when needed
