About The Position

The Maintenance Engineer keeps the hotel’s systems and facilities operating smoothly and helps provide a safe, comfortable environment for guests and staff. The role involves hands-on work with plumbing, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and other hotel systems, as well as maintenance of guest rooms, common areas, and equipment. The position also includes responding to equipment problems and emergencies, performing physically demanding tasks, and following safety procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Ability to move objects weighing over 50 pounds, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.
Ability to follow OSHA safety guidelines when using tools, handling chemicals, and operating machinery.

Nice To Haves

Experience in hotel maintenance or a related field.
Trade license in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or carpentry.

Responsibilities

Inspect, repair, and fine-tune hotel plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and other systems.
Perform preventive maintenance in guest rooms and common spaces and on essential equipment, including refrigerators and ice machines.
Complete minor carpentry, painting, and furniture repairs.
Respond to equipment issues, leaks, electrical problems, fire alarms, and power outages, prioritizing guest safety.
Move objects weighing over 50 pounds, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.
Follow OSHA safety guidelines when using tools, handling chemicals, and operating machinery.
Keep work areas clean and safe, and store tools and hazardous materials properly.
