About The Position

As a Maintenance Engineer I here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will lead a team, provide technical expertise, and ensure smooth operations in our MSC business unit. The Maintenance Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace will oversee the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. This role is crucial to ensuring the efficiency and reliability of manufacturing processes, focusing on enhancing equipment performance and minimizing downtime. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in engineering principles and experience in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in maintenance engineering or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the installation, modification, and upgrade of manufacturing equipment.
  • Maintain current records on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues.
  • Study equipment performance and reliability to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Establish programs and solutions aimed at increasing equipment uptime and addressing issues that affect the manufacturing process.
  • Provide technical support to the manufacturing repair and process engineering teams to enhance production efficiency.
  • Collaborate directly with the Production Maintenance team to troubleshoot equipment failures and implement effective solutions.
  • Define and write preventive maintenance schedules to ensure optimal operation of equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments of manufacturing equipment to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
  • Read, interpret, and update prints/schematics for manufacturing equipment as needed.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of maintenance activities and equipment performance metrics.
