About The Position

Stefanini Group is hiring a Maintenance Engineer - Automotive Assembly in Hagerstown, MD. This role is 100% onsite and requires support beyond first shift on occasion due to the three-shift operation. The engineer will ensure processes are developed and secured to meet Professional Maintenance theories and applications according to VPS standards (World Class Manufacturing based). This position provides leadership and guidance within Operations Maintenance business functions, fostering a continuous improvement culture focused on loss reduction, waste elimination, employee engagement, and lean theories. We are looking for a highly motivated and engaged individual to drive a continuous improvement philosophy to deliver agreed-upon projects.

BS Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Controls, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
5+ years technical experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proven exposure to and execution of engineering projects (mechanical, electrical, industrial).
Time management, prioritization skills, and excellent communication skills.
OR - Eight years minimum combined post-high school education and experience within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Support Operations Maintenance with the continued development of the Professional Maintenance Focused Area principles and tools throughout the organization.
Secure application of proper methods, tools, and execution to reduce equipment failure related losses.
Data Analysis (current and historical) and Root Cause Analysis.
Drawings and prints (validate, update, control).
Machine component evaluations (life cycle).
Condition Based Maintenance development and attainment.
Standard Maintenance Procedure development and validation.
Machine life extension and increased reliability.
Coordinate the interface between all areas connected with the activities related to Professional Maintenance (methods, tools, data, etc.).
Participate in improvement activities in different focus areas and equipment needs throughout the organization.
