About The Position

The Maintenance Electrician is a key contributor to the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all electrical systems within the facility. This role is responsible for troubleshooting electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, supporting new control system installations, and driving continuous improvement in electrical processes. The Maintenance Electrician serves as a technical expert for operators and maintenance personnel, ensuring equipment is understood, maintained, and operated safely and effectively.

Requirements

  • Electrician’s License with industrial electrical experience and strong schematic reading skills.
  • Additional electrical certifications, including technical college or manufacturing-related certifications, are highly valued.

  • 3–5 years of documented industrial electrical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot electrical systems throughout the plant to quickly identify and resolve issues that impact production or safety.
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on electrical equipment to ensure reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Assist in the installation and implementation of new control systems, ensuring proper integration and functionality.
  • Research, develop, and recommend improvements to electrical controls, processes, and system designs.
  • Track and monitor recurring electrical problems, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Identify weaknesses in electrical systems and develop long-term solutions to improve equipment performance and reliability.
  • Understand the technical functionality of electrical equipment and provide training to operators and maintenance technicians on operation and troubleshooting.
  • Support maintenance personnel in maintaining efficient production operations and perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
