About The Position

This role is responsible for sourcing, quoting, ordering, receiving, and managing maintenance parts and equipment. The position involves managing purchase requisitions and orders within the ITS system, working with other departments to establish re-stocking points for MRO items, and reconciling receiving ledgers with the Accounting department. The Maintenance Electrician will also maintain plant downtime and equipment records, assist with inventory control, and manage contractor and vendor information packets and insurance certificates. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is required. This role may also involve receiving maintenance requests and work orders, dispatching technicians, and supporting 5S activities and Kaizen submissions. The position may also be called upon for limited supervision of maintenance technicians in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor. Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret documents and training materials such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills are required.
  • Must have the ability to work with basic mathematical concepts, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical (CAD) drawings.
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, feel; reach with hands and arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Nice To Haves

  • Two-year technical training, Associate’s degree or military training
  • A background in Industrial Maintenance would be an added benefit.
  • AutoCAD experience would be an added benefit.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all general safety regulations and use provided safety equipment as required.
  • Understand ISO 9001 requirements / the Woodbridge Quality Policy. Always follow work instructions and procedures as established through the Woodbridge Quality Policy.
  • Source, quote, order, receiving and management of maintenance parts and equipment from vendors and contractors.
  • Manage purchase requisitions, purchase orders and receiving in the ITS system.
  • Work with other departments within the facility to establish re-stocking points for MRO items.
  • Work with Accounting to reconcile receiving ledgers for items purchased through the ITS P.O. system.
  • Maintain plant downtime and equipment records for the facility.
  • Help maintain inventory control of parts and equipment.
  • Maintain all contractor and vendor information packets and insurance certificates (part of the HSE Element activities and the INS Vendor system).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Can be called upon to receive maintenance request and work orders and dispatch maintenance technicians, accordingly, working with the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Keep area neat, organized, and clean as well as follow 5S principles as they are appropriate.
  • Support 5S activities throughout the facility including Kaizen submissions.
  • Cross train in other positions as required.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed by the employee’s supervisor.
  • May be called upon for limited supervision of the maintenance technicians in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor.
