About The Position

This position is responsible for providing a high level of customer service and promoting a positive attitude to create a fun and entertaining experience for our guests and team members. The role involves troubleshooting and maintaining all electrical systems on the property, including circuits, circuit protection devices, lights, outlets, and motors. The electrician will have a working knowledge of transformers, generators, and switchgear, and will be responsible for the installation and repair of new and existing circuits/equipment. This role also includes initiating requisitions for materials, preparing reports, maintaining records, and working with electrical contractors on major projects. Maintaining knowledge of current electrical codes, rules, regulations, and requirements is essential, as is preparing and maintaining accurate records, files, and reports. The position requires understanding company and departmental organizational structure and adhering to all policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of full-time, wage-earning experience as an Electrician in maintenance, construction, or an industrial environment required.
  • Electrician License
  • Must understand and speak the English language.
  • Must have knowledge of installation and maintenance of electrical equipment.
  • Ability to operate equipment and machinery related to the assigned area.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical prints, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Ability to coordinate with other staff, departments, officials, agencies, organizations, and the public.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Computer and related equipment, typewriter, copier, fax machine, voltage meter, amp meter, various electrical tools, telephone, and automobile.
  • Must have a valid Illinois Driver's License.
  • Must be willing to be on call in case an emergency arises.
  • Must be willing to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of an apprenticeship program may substitute for two years of the required experience.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting and maintaining all electrical systems on the property, including circuits, circuit protection devices, lights, outlets, motors, etc.
  • Installation of new circuits/equipment.
  • Initiating requisitions for materials and supplies.
  • Preparing reports and maintaining records of repairs.
  • Responsible for all repairs to existing circuits/equipment.
  • Works with electrical contractors to ensure proper completion of all major electrical projects.
  • Maintains knowledge of current electrical codes, rules, regulations, and requirements.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records, files, and reports.
  • Knows and understands company and departmental organizational structure, and adheres to all policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
