About The Position

This position performs electrical work on city facilities under the supervision of the Assistant Construction Manager.

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must be able to troubleshoot equipment failures.
Must possess a valid Texas class "C" driver's license or higher.
Knowledge of HVAC Systems.
Knowledge of computer software and programs.
Ability to adapt to new technology, new methods and changing conditions.
Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, or sit for long periods of time.
Ability to lift weights of 50 pounds alone and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Ability to climb in and out of confined areas and have the ability to climb heights greater than 100 feet.
Ability to obtain certifications/licenses to perform work assignments.

Troubleshoot equipment failures.
Design and build control panels.
Wire buildings according to plans and specifications.
Diagnose electrical control problems in City facilities.
Supply and maintain electrical for downtown concerts and all special events.
Communicate with vendors, management, contractors and the public in a professional manner.
Understand and enforce City of Conroe and Departmental policies and procedures.
Understand and follow written and oral instructions.
Obtain certifications/licenses to perform work assignments.
Make decisions in the absence of Superintendent.
Respond at any hour during an emergency when requested.
Work as many hours needed to get the work assigned completed.
Understand engineer drawings.
